Malocclusion is the misalignment of the teeth and jaws. It can be caused by both hereditary and environmental factors, and usually occurs during the patient’s growth and development in their earlier years. Problems involving the alignment of teeth are easier, quicker, and less expensive to treat when correct early. The T-Scan device records bite force dynamics, including occlusal force, location, and timing. These measurements are used to determine where the discrepancies the bite are, and aid in planning appropriate treatment to minimize the destructive forces of your patient’s malocclusion.
