When your patient has lost many or all of their teeth, either from disease and decay or from extractions, one of the treatments you may recommend are dentures. Dr. Jason C. Campbell offers training on dentures and partial dentures to help you prepare to provide your patients with a comfortable and highly functional restoration. We invite you to call 928-776-0239 today to register for your courses at Advanced Prosthetics Institute and learn more about how your patients can benefit from dentures and partial dentures.
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth. They can be used to replace a full arch or teeth (a “complete” denture), or only some of your teeth (a “partial” denture). Dentures are customized to provide a comfortable fit and a functional appliance while also offering a more natural appearance.
Dentures are developed and created during multiple appointments over a period of time. Throughout the entire process, you will need to measure, cast, and prepare a custom-fit appliance that will fit your patient comfortable. You will work with multiple impressions, and have several fitting sessions with your patient to ensure that the dentures fit and function properly in your patient’s mouth. You will also consult with your patient on the color and appearance of the dentures. Adjustments will be need to made over time, especially if the initial fitting occurred immediately after an extraction.
